Strawberry Park Hot Springs: fees, reservations and hours

Strawberry Park Hot Springs is a series of stone-lined soaking pools terraced into a forested hillside above Steamboat Springs, fed by a hot spring that cools as it flows down the slope. Every soak runs on a timed, two-hour reservation paid in cash on arrival, and the pools switch from suits-required by day to clothing-optional after dark. See our hot springs in Colorado guide for the rest of the state's soaks, or the full hot springs locator map for other states.

Reservations and pricing

Book a two-hour soaking window in advance. Adults pay $30 and children 17 and under pay $20 per slot, and the operator takes cash only on arrival (Strawberry Park Hot Springs). Reservations are required for every visit, so don't drive up without one. A shuttle service runs to the pools for visitors who'd rather not drive the access road themselves.

Getting there and winter access

The hot springs sit up an unpaved road outside Steamboat Springs. From November 1 through May 1, Routt County law requires vehicles making the drive to be four-wheel drive and equipped with snow tires and/or chains, so check your vehicle before a winter or shoulder-season visit (Strawberry Park Hot Springs). The shuttle is the simpler option if your own vehicle isn't set up for the road in snow.

Clothing-optional hours

Swimsuits are required during the day. After dark, the pools become clothing-optional until they reopen the following morning, and the operator does not permit minors on site after sundown. Plan a daytime visit if you're bringing kids.

How this guide was researched

This page was compiled from Strawberry Park Hot Springs' own reservation and policy pages. We haven't visited this site ourselves. Prices and the cash-only and clothing policies are current as of a direct check in September 2026; pool temperatures and the description of the access road come from the operator's site as of August 2026. Road conditions and shuttle availability change with the season, so confirm both with the operator before you go.
