Outdoor Locator is an informational directory of hot springs, waterfalls and swimming holes across the United States. It's not a booking service or a government agency, and it isn't affiliated with any park service, forest service or land management agency it references. Nothing on this site should be read as an official statement from the land manager responsible for a given location.

Every listing is compiled from public sources and dated at the time it was checked, but fees, access rules, permits and legal status change, sometimes without public notice. We do our best to keep listings current and mark anything unclear as "requires confirmation" rather than guessing, but we can't guarantee that any fee, hour or access rule shown here is still accurate on the day you visit. Always confirm current conditions with the managing agency before you go. See our methodology page for how each listing is sourced.

The activities described on this site carry real physical risk. Hot springs can cause burns and, in some cases, carry waterborne organisms. Waterfalls involve slippery rock, unstable footing and drop-offs. Swimming holes can have currents, sudden depth changes and submerged hazards that aren't visible from the bank. Visiting any location listed on this site is entirely at your own risk. We don't inspect these sites ourselves, and nothing here guarantees that a location is safe, legal to enter, or in the condition described.
